38 Year Old Cyclist Dies In An Highway Collison
According to the California Highway Patrol, an older vehicle was to blame for the death of a woman in her thirties who was riding a bicycle on Highway 299 in the eastern part of Shasta County on Monday evening. The incident took place in Shasta County. Highway 299 was the location of the crash that involved the woman and the more experienced driver.
According to the California Highway Patrol, the event occurred just after 9 o’clock in the evening on Rocky Ridge Road, which is located to the east of Burney. The time of the incident was reported to be just after 9 o’clock in the evening.
According to the findings of the investigation carried out by the relevant authorities, the cyclist was heading in the direction of east on the south shoulder when the elderly driver of a 2015 Subaru Impreza, which was also heading in the direction of east, drove off the road and into the shoulder, colliding with the back of the bicycle. Both automobiles were moving in the same direction at the same speed.
The officer then reports that the cyclist was thrown off the bike, and that she eventually died as a result of the injuries she had at the scene of the collision where she was injured.
