Annmarie Garraffo Obituary, Resident Of Waterbury Has Died At 58
Annmarie Garraffo Obituary, Death – Annmarie Garraffo, the daughter of the late James and Josephine (Salamone) Garraffo, was born on May 13th, 1964, in Waterbury, Connecticut. She attended local schools in the Watertown area and ultimately graduated from Watertown High. For many years, Annmarie worked as a nurse’s assistant at local nursing homes like the defunct Waterbury Extended Care and the current Whitewood Manor.
Annmarie had a passion for travel and was known to take many cruises and trips on the spur of the moment. Annmarie was happiest when she was with her brothers and nieces at family picnics, even though she enjoyed listening to music and was a major Michael Jackson lover. Annmarie loved being an aunt because she felt like a kid again. Redefining the term “Aunt” for someone who does not have any of their own children. She loves her nieces as much as her own and treats them as such.
Annmarie often interacts with her nieces as if she were one of their closest friends. All of us who had the privilege of knowing and loving her will miss her dearly. Her brothers, Tom and Dawn Garraffo, of Watertown, and their daughters, Jessica and Jenna, were always there to brighten Annmarie’s day, and they are the ones left to carry on her legacy and remember her fondly. She also leaves behind several aunts, uncles, cousins, and friends in addition to her brother Robert Garraffo of Waterbury.
Ms. Garraffo’s funeral will be held at Casey’s Eastside Memorial Funeral Home and Cremation Care, 1987 East Main St, Waterbury, CT 06705, on Wednesday, July 5, 2023, at 11:00 a.m. All Saints Cemetery in Waterbury will serve as the last resting place. On Wednesday morning, from 10:00 am until the time of the service at 11:00 am, friends and relatives of Annmarie are welcome to pay their respects. Offering condolences, words of consolation, or sharing a memory with the loved ones left behind is always appreciated, and it only takes a moment.
