Christine Murray Obituary, Death – The news of the passing of former Councilwoman Christine “Chrissy” Nezlo Murray was met with an overwhelming feeling of loss on our part. Chrissy was a good person who went out of her way to assist anyone she came in contact with. The Geisinger Community Center was the location of Christine “Chrissy” Nezlo Murray’s passing on Wednesday evening. Robert Murray is her husband at the moment. She was the daughter of Richard Nezlo of Taylor and Mary Ann Lisowski Nezlo of Scranton. She was born in Scranton. Her mother was from Scranton. She attended the United Baptist Church in Taylor and graduated from Riverside Junior Senior High School in 1992. She also attended Riverside Junior Senior High School.

A mother-in-law, Judy Murray, of Dupont; a sister-in-law, Cheryll (Angelo) of Old Forge; and two brothers-in-law, Richard (Julie) of California and Caryl of Dupont. Also living are two brothers, Thomas Nezlo (Becky) of Old Forge and David Nezlo (Leslie) of Virginia. She was a former member of the Taylor Borough Council, where she served for a number of years. She enjoyed spending time with her animals and watching reality TV, particularly the Real Housewives of New York City.

A funeral service will be held on Sunday at 3 o’clock at the Jacob Davis Funeral Home, which is located at 422 South Main Street in Taylor. The Reverend David Barrett, who serves as the pastor of the United Baptist Church, will officiate the service. On Sunday, visitation will begin at 1 p.m. and continue up to the time of the service at 3 p.m.
