David Standing Obituary, Founding Member Of The Beverley Men In Sheds Has Died
David Standing Obituary, Death – When we learned that David Standing, one of our founder members, had passed away, our response was one of tremendous sadness and loss. David Standing was one of the first members of our group. Dave was a nice and pleasant person to be around.
It was frequently difficult to comprehend what he was saying when he was in the Shed due to the fact that he had a mild speaking voice. On the other hand, whenever he was in a place where there was no background noise, it was exciting to listen to him talk about what he had accomplished in his life since it was so interesting. When he joined our freshly developing Shed, he had already experienced the first symptoms of Parkinson’s illness; yet, this did not prevent him from having a strong passion for working with wood in any way.
He was known for his numerous amazing talents, one of which was the making of longbows. Due to David’s deteriorating health, he had not been able to visit the Shed for the past couple of years. This was because the Shed is located in a remote location. According to the timetable for the funeral services, the interment of his remains will take place at Haltemprice on the 27th of June. We are thinking about his family and friends during this trying time and keeping them in our thoughts and prayers.
