Diane Beckner Obituary, Death – Diane Louise Beckner (Schell), a cherished daughter, sister, and friend, passed away on July 3, 2023, at the age of 60. Born in West Reading, she was the beloved first-born daughter of David and Anna Schell (Kline). Diane will always be remembered for her infectious sense of humor and her immense capacity for love.

Diane graduated from ELCO HS in 1980 and pursued her passion for culinary arts at Luzerne County Community College. Her culinary talents led her to serve as a dedicated waitress at various local restaurants, including Dixie Drive-In, Risser’s, and Wild Wings at the Reading airport. She was a devoted member of Zion United Methodist Church in Myerstown.

Her creative spirit shone through her various hobbies, such as jewelry making and perfecting her own baking recipes. Above all, Diane cherished the time spent with her family and friends. Known for her loving nature, she always provided a listening ear and a comforting presence.

In later years, Diane faced health challenges with remarkable courage and unwavering determination. She expressed immense gratitude for the care and support she received from her caregivers and loved ones. Despite the hardships, she found solace and joy in life’s simple pleasures.

Diane will be lovingly remembered by her parents, sister Carolyn Kline (Michael) of Virginia, their two children, aunts, cousins, friends, and her beloved cat, Matty.

A memorial service will be held privately, honoring Diane’s life at the convenience of her family. Memorial contributions in her memory may be made to the Humane Society of Berks County or any animal rescue organization of your choice, as well as the American Cancer Society.
