Doris Hiott Obituary, Death- Doris B Hiott, who was 91 years old and lived in North Charleston, South Carolina, passed away on June 30, 2023. It is with deep regret that we have to notify you of her passing. During this trying time, we want her family and friends to know that they are in our thoughts and prayers.

It was her son Vincent “Bubba” Sweat who had gone away before to her own passing. She is survived by her daughters, Ann McGowan (Mylo) and Brenda Sweat; her sisters, Shirley Rhea and Barbara Shoop; and her grandchildren, Travis Gilstrap (Suzanna), Tyler Gilstrap (Lynn), Ken Hood (Elaine), and Cheryl Monerer.

She was preceded in death by her husband, William McGowan. Her mother, Barbara Shoop, and her husband, Mylo McGowan, passed away before her. She was the last surviving member of her immediate family. Additionally, she is survived by both her family and the friends she had made during her life.

Visitation will be held at Carolina Memorial Funerals & Cremation on Monday, July 3, 2023 from 11:00 AM to 12:00 PM. The funeral home is situated at 7113 Rivers Ave, North Charleston, South Carolina 29406, and the zip code for the location is 29406. On the Monday, July 3, 2023, between the hours of 12:00 PM and 1:00 PM, there will be a gathering held at the Chapel of the Carolina Memorial to commemorate the life of the individual who passed away. On Monday, July 3, 2023, at one o’clock in the afternoon, a memorial service will be held in honor of those who have passed away in the Carolina Memorial Gardens.
