Glenn Williams was born in Atlanta, Georgia, and later became a resident of Germantown, Tennessee. He attended Berkmar High School and went on to pursue higher education at the University of Memphis, where he graduated with the class of 1980. His passion for medicine led him to further studies at the University of Tennessee Health Science Center, where he graduated with the class of 1984. Later, he also studied at the University of Chattanooga, earning a degree in 1991. Dr. Williams held a prominent position as a Physician at Mid-South Pulmonary Specialists in Memphis, Tennessee, where he was highly regarded by his colleagues and patients.
In addition to his medical profession, Dr. Glenn Williams was an active member of the Memphis Hightailers Bicycle Club since 2009. He avidly participated in the club’s weekly rides and events, becoming a familiar face among the biking community. Just recently, many members of the Bicycle Club had the opportunity to ride with him one last time during the Red, White, and Blue Ride that took place over the past weekend, making it a poignant and memorable experience for all involved.
With over 31 years of experience in the medical field, Dr. Williams specialized in Critical Care Anesthesiology and made significant contributions in the areas of Obstructive Lung Disease and Sleep Apnea. He was highly knowledgeable and respected within his field, and his affiliation with Baptist Memorial Hospital in Memphis further demonstrated his dedication to providing quality care to his patients.
