Ethel Wiens Obituary, Death – It is with a mixture of sorrow and gratitude that we announce the peaceful passing of Rod’s beautiful mother in the early hours of Monday, June 26th.
Her unwavering desire to meet her Savior, Jesus, face to face has now been fulfilled, bringing us a sense of rejoicing amidst our grief. In these last days spent with her, we witnessed firsthand the profound impact of scripture and prayer in her life, as they continued to uplift and guide her until the very end.
Even when she could no longer speak, she found solace in softly reciting cherished passages of scripture, including the entirety of the 23rd Psalm, a moment etched in our hearts forever. Truly, “The Lord was her shepherd…”
As we reflect on her memory and a life lived with purpose, our hearts overflow with gratitude. We are profoundly thankful for a mother who loved us unconditionally, and who generously opened her hands and home to countless individuals.
Rod and Brenda, filled with deep appreciation, invite you to join our family in a celebration of Mom Wiens’ remarkable life on Thursday, June 29th, at 1:30pm, at Salem Church.
Following the service, you are warmly welcomed to stay for a shared meal, and for those interested, we extend an invitation to join us at Salem Cemetery for the Graveside service, which will follow the luncheon.
