Francis was preceded in death by his parents, Glover F. Pogue and Laura Pogue (Huff), his loving wife Ethel Marion Pogue (Grassle), his brother Robert O. Pogue (Helen), sister-in-law Charlene Pogue of Missouri, parents-in-law Molly and Karl Grassle, and siblings-in-law Albert Grassle (Nancy) and Wilma Sanders of New Jersey.

He is survived by his daughters, Kim Snider (Lee) of Christiansburg and Chris J. Pogue of Virginia Beach, his cherished grandchildren Taryn L. Strachan (Dave) of Richlands, NC, and Cody L. Snider of Christiansburg, as well as his brother Orie L. Pogue of St. Louis. Numerous nieces and nephews also hold Francis in their hearts.

Friends and family are invited to pay their respects during the visitation on Friday, July 7, 2023, from 5:00 PM to 7:00 PM at Hollomon-Brown Funeral Home, Bayside Chapel (1457 Independence Blvd, Virginia Beach, VA 23455).

A heartfelt celebration of Francis’ life will be held on Saturday, July 8, 2023, at 11:00 AM at Our Saviour Lutheran Church (4200 Shore Dr, Virginia Beach, VA 23455), where his remarkable legacy will be honored and cherished.
