Gerald Bailey Obituary, Death – Gerald “Jerry” L. Bailey, a beloved member of the Tomah, Wisconsin community, passed away on Friday, June 23, 2023, at the age of 62. Born on March 31, 1961, in Tomah, Wisconsin, he was the son of Bernard and Frances (Linehan) Bailey.

Jerry was known for his sociable nature and had a knack for making new friends wherever he went. He took great pride in his work, having mowed numerous lawns throughout his life. In addition to his lawn care endeavors, he dedicated his time to St. Mary’s Catholic Church. He was a valuable asset to the church community, serving as Jeff Atteln’s right-hand man and assisting in various capacities, such as setting up for school activities and church events, as well as taking down chairs. Jerry was an active member of the Knights of Columbus, thoroughly enjoying their dinners and engaging in community functions.

Jerry is survived by his brothers, Mike (Jean) Bailey and Tom (Joan) Bailey, and his sisters, Karen Bailey, Lois Bailey, Barb (David) Binter, Linda (Carlos) Cabasos, and Patricia Bailey. He also leaves behind many nieces, nephews, cousins, other relatives, and a multitude of friends.

He was preceded in death by his parents, Bernard and Frances Bailey, as well as his sister, Jean M. Bailey, and his brother, Howard “Jim” Bailey. A Mass of Christian Burial will be held on Friday, June 30, 2023, at 11:00 a.m. at Queen of the Apostles Catholic Parish in Tomah. Following the service, Jerry will be laid to rest at Mt. Vernon Cemetery in Tomah.

Family and friends are invited to visitation on Friday from 9:30 a.m. until the time of the service at the church.
