Jesse Balcom Obituary, Lake Luzerne NY In Loving Memory Of Jesse Balcom

Jesse Balcom Obituary, Death – Jesse J. Balcom, 31 years old, hailing from Lake Luzerne, NY, and formerly of Keene and Peterborough, NH, passed away unexpectedly but peacefully while visiting his mother on Sunday, June 18, 2023. Born on July 21, 1991, in Keene, Jesse was the beloved son of Shelley M. (Metcalf) Murdock and the late Jeffrey J. Balcom. He received his education in the Swanzey School District and graduated from Contoocook Valley High School in 2009.

Following in his father’s footsteps, Jesse established his own landscaping business in Glens Falls and Lake Luzerne, NY, for a duration of two years. He had planned to name his company On Point Landscaping, in honor of his cherished German Shorthair Pointers, Tesla and Otto. Jesse took immense pride in expanding his knowledge of Northeastern trees, plants, and flowers, working diligently to make each yard he tended more beautiful in the Glens Falls/Lake George areas.

In addition to his landscaping pursuits, Jesse had various hobbies and interests. He enjoyed fishing with his best friend, camping, kayaking, video games, hockey, and even tried his hand at golf. Recently, he had taken up carpentry, self-learning the trade while renovating his home. Jesse had a passion for collecting and crafting jewelry from crystals and stones, a skill he honed to create beautiful pieces for his loved ones. Music held a special place in his heart, and he relished attending concerts with his friends. Jesse was known for his inclusive and generous nature, treating everyone as a friend without judgment and offering them kindness. He valued his relationships dearly and was a devoted member of Dead Kings, a motorcycle club in Glens Falls known for their community support.

Jesse leaves behind his mother, Shelley Murdock of Keene, his beloved partner Felicia Kindron of Glens Falls, and his four siblings: Erin L. Porter and her husband Seth of Swanzey, Chad N. Balcom of Jaffrey, Andrea Murdock of Keene, and Keith Murdock of Troy. He is also survived by his nieces and nephew, Addison Porter, Avery Porter, and Kenzie Bedard, as well as numerous other cherished family members and friends.

A private burial will be held in the family plot at Pine Grove Cemetery on Granite Street in Marlborough, NH, at a later date. While flowers are welcomed, the family kindly requests donations to be made in Jesse’s memory to the Keene Serenity Center. All arrangements are under the compassionate care of Cheshire Family Funeral Chapel and Crematories, located at 44 Maple Ave in Keene, NH.
