John Steen Obituary, Death – John Steen has passed away. Throughout his life, John was a die-hard New York Yankees fan. He was a fan of UNLV’s men’s basketball and football teams. He recently began attending Las Vegas Raiders games as a licensed ticket holder. He supported the men’s basketball and football teams at UNLV. His absence will definitely be felt by his countless athletic colleagues on the field.

John was an avid sports enthusiast who enjoyed tailgating. When John was younger, he was an active member of the Democratic Party, serving as a delegate to the Nevada caucus. He was also a member of the Democratic National Committee at the time. Softball, tennis, and racing his speedboat on Lake Mead were some of his favorite things to do in his spare time. John’s parents, William and Lucille Steen, and his cherished nephew Tyler Steen, John’s only living relative, all died before he did. John is the sole surviving member of his family.

His sister Cynthia Steen Petti of Osprey, Florida; his sister Suzanne Steen and his closest buddy Thomas Steen, also of Osprey, Florida; and his brother Thomas Steen and his wife Tina of Simsbury, Connecticut survive him. Ryan Steen of Providence, Rhode Island, Corey Steen of Denver, Colorado, Shannon Munro of Saco, Maine, and Jessica Munro of Dallas, Texas were among his nieces and nephews. He had aunts and family that were incredibly close to him in Northern Ireland and throughout the United States. His uncles and family were spread across the country.
