Katherine Norton Obituary, Death – Katherine Nicole Norton, who was 20 years old and had been a resident of Richmond, Virginia, passed suddenly on Thursday. Her grandfather on her father’s side, Christ Rubis, and her grandfather and grandmother on her mother’s side, Cecil and Carolyn Norton, all passed away before she was born.
Her maternal grandmother Vera Rubis, as well as her paternal grandparents Stuart and Anastasia Norton, together with her brothers Christian and Alexander Norton and Alexander’s wife Brooke, are the only members of her immediate family to have survived her passing. Her paternal grandparents Vera Rubis and Stuart and Anastasia Norton also passed away before she did. Katherine graduated from Deep Run High School in 2013, where she was a cheerleader and a member of the school’s National Honor Society.
In addition, Katherine obtained her graduation from Deep Run High School in 2013. When she was a senior in high school, she was a member of the Greek Dance Troupe at the Saints Constantine and Helen Greek Orthodox Cathedral. She continued her education at James Madison University, where she joined the Kappa Alpha Theta sorority. During her time at James Madison University, she was also active in the community. Katherine was quite proud of her status as a Duke graduate of James Madison University, and after she finished her degree, she intended to pursue a career in the field of early childhood education.
During the course of her life, she and her family had the good fortune to travel to Greece, Italy, France, and Germany. She counts this as one of her life’s greatest blessings. Everyone who has ever had the privilege of getting to know Katherine has regarded it as a very lucky thing to have done so, and they have nothing but praise for her. We will never forget her boundless tolerance and generosity, not to mention that infectious grin of hers that just wouldn’t quit.
