Kathy Wetherford Obituary, Death – Kathy Louise Gibson Wetherford (Danville, Virginia) died away on July 3, 2023 at the age of 72. It is with deep regret that we share the news of her passing. Her parents, Ruby Lyle Gibson Reynolds and Ashley Thomas Gibson, as well as her siblings, Linda Blair and Rabon Gibson, and her stepfather, Beachum Frank Reynolds, passed away before she was born. She was named after all of them.

She is survived by her husband, Tony Elton Weatherford; her daughter, Laurie Adams (Tony), of Danville, Virginia; her sisters, Joan Scruggs of Danville, Virginia, and Janice Rhinehardt of New Mexico; and her grandkids, Haley Adams Irby (Joe), Austin Ray Adams, and Lindsey Adams. She was born in Danville, Virginia, and passed away in New Mexico.

The Norris Funeral Services & Crematory – Mount Hermon Chapel (3995 Franklin Turnpike, Danville, Virginia 24540) will be the location of the visitation on Friday, July 7th, 2023 from 1:00 PM to 2:00 PM. A memorial service will be held at the same place on Friday, July 7th, 2023 at 2:00 PM in memory of the deceased.
