Kristie Mattson Gray Obituary, Death –  Kristi  Gray, who was 54 years old and lived in Houston, Texas, went to be with her Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ, in heaven. On August 1, 1968, she was welcomed into the world by her doting parents, Chuck and Suellen Kirby, who resided in Austin, Texas. Kristi has the warmest of hearts, and those who had the good fortune to cross paths with her recall her as a “light” in their lives. She was always willing to lend an attentive ear and a helping hand, and she made friends with everyone she came in contact with. Kristi had a big laugh that was infectious, and she made it her purpose in life to assist those who were in need.

During their junior year at Cypress Creek High School, Kristi made the acquaintance of Taylor, who would later become her husband and the love of her life. They tied the knot on December 14, 1991, not long after they received their undergraduate diplomas. For 31 years, she was a loyal and loving wife to her husband. Twenty of these years were spent serving as the spouse of a military service member.

She started off by bringing up her three amazing children, Kirby, Taylor, and Katie, on Army bases, the majority of the time by herself because Taylor had to be away for military responsibilities. Her children were the source of her greatest love and delight, and she was a natural when it came to raising them. Following their discharge from the Army, she and her husband Taylor returned to Houston, where they had grown up.

She became a devoted follower of several sports and activities, particularly those that her children participated in at the time, such as wrestling, baseball, football, and dancing. It was justifiable for her to have such clear pride in her children. Her husband, children, and numerous other friends and acquaintances are going to miss her terribly.

Kristi is survived by her mother and father, Chuck and Suellen Kirby; her sister, Susan Kirby; her brother, Chuck; and her nieces, Emma and Abbey; her father-in-law and mother-in-law, Lynn and Susan Gray; her sister-in-law, Gina Gray; her sister-in-law and brother-in-law, Maridee and Jim Bruner; and her niece, Sara Kate Bruner, and her nephew, Gray Bruner.
