Leon Avey Obituary, Retired LT Of The Shirley Police Department Has Passed Away
Leon Avey Obituary, Death – It is with great sadness that I have to inform you of the passing of Lt. Leon Avey (Retired), who served with the Shirley Police Department for a significant amount of time. Lt. Avey had been with the department for a number of years.
He passed away not too long ago. Lt. Avey began his career in law enforcement in 1974 with the Shirley Police Department, where he quickly advanced through the ranks and finally became a lieutenant. His promotion to this position was a result of his hard work and dedication to the department. Lt. Avey started his career as a police officer and worked his way up through the ranks, first becoming a corporal and then a sergeant, before being promoted to his current post as lieutenant.
And in 1997, he was elevated to the post of police lieutenant, making him the first officer in the Shirley Police Department, which had only been created not too long before, to acquire that title. This was because the Shirley Police Department had only been founded not too long before. Throughout his entire career, which began in 1974 and ended in 2003 with his retirement, Lieutenant Avey placed the residents of Shirley at the top of his list of priorities.
