Lucas Blanton Obituary, Death – Blanton, who was 43 years old, passed away at the Atrium Health-Cleveland facility located in Shelby. Blanton was a local of the Henrietta neighborhood. On January 30, 1977, James Blanton Self made his debut into the world in Rutherford County. Brenda Blanton Self, his mother, is still a resident of Henrietta at this time. Most of his life was spent working in the roofing industry, and he was a devoted adherent of the Holiness faith. In addition to going fishing, James’s absolute favorite thing to do was to hang out with his mom whenever he could.

The lives of his two sisters, Deshondla Waters and Glenda Blanton, were prioritized over his own life at all times. Those who are left to cherish his memory are his step-father, Donnie Self; two daughters, Arrabella Blanton and Nadia Pruett; a special friend, Nancy Caldwell; two brothers, Lloyd Waters of Cliffside and John Waters of Caroleen; three sisters, Nisha Waters of Shelby, Dale Blanton of Forest City, and Linda Earley of Henrietta; and a number of aunts and uncles. In addition to him, his mother will carry on after him.

At the Harrelson Funeral Home on Friday beginning at 4:00 p.m. and continuing until 8:00 p.m., the corpse of James will be on public display as part of the funeral services. There won’t be any memorial or funeral services held for the deceased.
