Matthew Bagasevich Obituary, Death- Due to an unexpected illness, our brother, Sir Knight, and friend Matthew Bagasevich passed away on Tuesday, July 4, 2023 at the age of 26. We are inconsolable and our hearts are sad as we have to break the news to you that he has passed away. The event that caused his dying took place on a Tuesday.

Matthew served as the District Warden for the Fourth Degree in the Pennsylvania Central District, and he was an outstanding value in the performance of that position as well as the other responsibilities he carried out in the District. Matthew was also an incredible asset in the performance of the other duties he carried out in the District. In addition to this, Matthew held the positions of Grand Knight of Council 12572, Faithful Scribe of Assembly 938, and Deputy Color Corps Commander of Assembly 938 throughout his time in the organization.

In addition to this, he headed a variety of committees that were responsible for organizing fundraising events for both the Council and the Assembly. Matthew has always considered the work he does for the Knights of Columbus to be a vocation, and he is grateful to have had the opportunity to serve in every capacity that was open to him within the organization at one point or another. He had a firm faith in the mission of the Knights of Columbus from the very beginning and was deeply committed to the organization’s core values of charity, unity, fraternity, and patriotism.

There are many of us who will miss our brother Matthew beyond what words can express; he was more than simply a Knight, but a true friend in every sense of the term. We will miss him more than we are even able to put into words.
Today, I would want to ask you to pray for his soul so that, by the grace of God, he may one day hear the words that we all hope to hear in the afterlife: “Well done, thou good and faithful servant.”
