Meghan Andrews Obituary, Death – Lycoming College is deeply saddened to announce the passing of Dr. Meghan Andrews, esteemed associate professor of English, on June 20, 2023. Dr. Andrews joined Lycoming in 2015 as an assistant professor, bringing with her a wealth of knowledge and a passion for Shakespeare and Renaissance drama.

Her impressive academic journey included earning an A.B. from Brown University, as well as an M.A. and Ph.D. from the University of Texas at Austin.

During her time at Lycoming, Dr. Andrews made a profound impact on both her students and colleagues. Her exceptional teaching abilities, coupled with her extensive research and publications, earned her recognition and admiration.

In 2019, she was honored with Lycoming’s Junior Faculty Teaching Award, and in 2021, she achieved tenure and was promoted to the position of associate professor.

Dr. Andrews’ passing has left a void in the hearts of those who knew her. Her vibrant spirit, unwavering dedication, and refusal to succumb to self-pity serve as a lasting inspiration to all who had the privilege of crossing paths with her.

As Sascha Feinstein, chair of the English department, eloquently expressed, the memories she created during her short time with us will continue to illuminate our lives.

A Celebration of Life in honor of Dr. Meghan Andrews will be held on Thursday, June 29, at 1 p.m. at Lycoming College’s Clarke Chapel. All members of the College community who had the pleasure of knowing her are warmly invited to attend and pay their respects to this remarkable individual who touched the lives of so many.
