Nancy Witters Obituary, Beloved Teacher Of The Iyengar Yoga Institute Has Passed Away

Nancy Witters Obituary, Death – We are saddened to inform you of the passing of Nancy G. Witters and do so with a heavy heart. Iyengar yoga was a lifelong practice for Nancy, who also shared her knowledge with others. Her tragic death came after a valiant five-year fight against cancer.

Nancy was a yoga instructor in New Jersey, where she lived with her devoted husband and two sons and also taught classes at a number of local studios and at her stunning house. In 2010, she began her training at Studio Yoga with Theresa Rowland as her instructor. She had been studying with Joan White since 2013, and more recently, she had been learning with Lois Steinberg. Her kids looked forward to Nancy as a role model because she was able to communicate clearly while also showing sympathy and having a dry sense of humor.

Additionally, she played a significant role in motivating a number of individuals to pursue careers as Iyengar teachers themselves. Nancy was a woman of many abilities, and she succeeded at all of them despite the fact that her primary focus was on Iyengar Yoga. She was skilled in the art of baking and had a good understanding of literature, theater, and art. She had a unique connection with the natural world and was an avid outdoorswoman who enjoyed hiking and gardening. She had a very big heart and treated everyone with respect and decency regardless of who they were. She showed her family and friends how to navigate life with dignity and bravery through her example. She will be deeply missed by everyone.
