Paul Dolan Obituary, A Winemaker Has Sadly Passed Away
Paul Dolan Obituary, Death– The demise of Paul Dolan as left us in a state of profound melancholy. Paul’s adventure at Fetzer Vineyards, which is now known as Bonterra Organic Estates, began in 1977 when he was hired on as a winemaker. His unshakable dedication and enthusiasm directed the expansion of the company for 27 years, which finally led to his being promoted to the position of CEO. His leadership with a vision had a significant impact not just on our winery but also on our business and our community.
His deep-seated conviction in the efficacy of organic farming was the impetus behind the planting of our very first organic grapevines in the late 1980s, which eventually led to the establishment of the Bonterra brand. He was aware that the production of excellent wine requires a strong connection to the soil as well as an unyielding reverence for the natural world. Paul advocated for sustainable agriculture and embraced organic, biodynamic, and regenerative organic practices at a period when only a small number of people knew the meaning of the term “organic.”SO sad! The organic wine from Bonterra was simply the BEST that could be found anywhere!
Paul farmed as a means of ministering to life, including the life of the soil, the life of the vines, the life of the animals, the life of the employees, and the life of the community at large. Today, we recognize the wonderful life he led, celebrate his accomplishments and offer our sincere gratitude for everything that he has done. Thank you for leaving an indelible impact on our hearts and on the globe, Paul Dolan, by making us better farmers, helping us develop healthier communities, and leaving an indelible mark on the world.
