Paula Scudder Obituary, Death- Paula Renee’ Scudder passed away in the Harry Hynes Memorial Hospice Center in Wichita, Kansas, on June 16, 2023. She was 71 years old at the time of her passing. This hospital was situated on the St. Francis Campus of the Ascension Via Christi Medical Center in the city of Corpus Christi, Texas.
She was born in Jamestown, North Dakota on January 12, 1952 to parents called Walt Ernest and Verna Jean Braunberger Luer. Her birthday is January 12. She was the couple’s only child together as a family unit. Her father’s name is Walt Ernest, and her mother’s name is Verna Jean. Her grandparents are also named Walt and Verna.
After moving to California, Paula eventually became acquainted with Joseph James Scudder, who would later become her husband, in the Santa Barbara region. She was a resident of the location at the time. They ultimately settled on making Wichita, Kansas, their permanent residence, and on August 31, 1978, they tied the knot in that same city.
She was a wonderful caregiver; she was compassionate and unselfish at all times; she was a dog’s best buddy; and she kept records in an exacting manner. She was a canine’s best friend for sure. Paula is survived by her husband, son Nick Barton, and grandson Truman Barton, all of Wichita, Kansas; granddaughter Lydia Barton of Colorado Springs, Colorado; sisters Brenda Luer of Jamestown, North Dakota, and Wanda Luer of Fargo, North Dakota; and three great grandchildren from Colorado Springs, Colorado: Jesse Kinney, Kaelee Kinney, and Ronan Harding. In addition, Paula is survived by her sisters Brenda Luer and Wanda Luer. Jesse Kinney, Paula’s grandson, is also the only provider for her three surviving great-grandchildren, all of whom live in Colorado Springs. Paula was the person who ensured the stability of their house as a family.
There are no funeral or memorial services scheduled to take place at any of the sites at this time.
