Pete DeChairo Obituary, Death- We are sorry to inform you that Pete DeChairo, who was lovingly known as “Petey the Punk,” passed away at the age of 83. Our thoughts and prayers are with you at this difficult time. Our prayers are with him, as well as his loved ones and friends. Pete was a well-liked and respected member of the community in addition to having retired from the fire department.
He served the community for many years. His dedication, bravery, and compassionate demeanor made an indelible mark on the lives of a great number of individuals. Pete DeChairo dedicated his whole life to helping people and putting others’ needs above his own as a firefighter. Pete went above and beyond the expectations of his job as a first responder by bravely putting himself in harm’s way in order to protect the lives and property of the people in his community. This demonstrates that Pete goes above and beyond the call of duty. Because of his unwavering commitment to the fire department and the city that he defended, he earned a recognized reputation not just among his fellow firefighters but also in the community that he guarded.
