Peter Cassisi Obituary, Death- The passing of Peter J. Cassisi occurred on the 27th of June in 2023. When he passed away, he had reached the age of 85 years old. Although Ossining was his birthplace, Croton-on-Hudson would ultimately become his permanent place of abode.

His hometown was Croton-on-Hudson. His hometown was Ossining, and he was born there. Nicholas Cassisi and Mary (Cavitalo) Cassisi were Pete Cassisi’s parents. Pete was their son. On November 28th, 1937, he entered the world in Ossining. Nicholas and Mary were his parents, and he was their son. Nicholas and Mary (Cavitalo) Cassisi, who were his parents, inspired the naming of their son. Nicholas was his grandfather’s and grandmother’s first name, and Mary was their middle name.

Pete was a seasoned veteran of the United States Marine Corps who had served his nation in Japan in the early 1950s. He had been stationed there during that time. During that period, he was serving there as a stationed soldier. It is known that he had previous experience in that specific branch of the armed forces. After finishing his secondary education at Stepinac High School, he was awarded his diploma and became a graduate of the school.

After that, he joined the Ossining Police Department, where he worked his way up to the rank of Sergeant and eventually became the head of the SWAT Team before retiring in the early 1980s. Before he left the force, he progressed through the ranks to become a Sergeant. He remained there until he was eligible for retirement, which was several years later. He held the position of leader of the SWAT Team in the years preceding up to his retirement from the force.

Pete was able to have a positive impact on the community via the volunteer work he conducted with the Ossining Fire Department and the Cataract Hose Company. This allowed Pete to give back to the community. In addition to that, he was a member of the American Legion and an associate member of the Buchanan Fire Department. Moreover, he served as a volunteer firefighter. In each of these positions, he was a member of the service.

After Pete’s departure, his legacy will be carried on by his two children, Anthony (Helen), and Michelle (Nicholas) Loiodice, as well as his three grandchildren, Chris, Lauren, and Ethan, and his great-grandson Anthony. Anthony will also carry on the name of Pete.
