Raul Cabrera Obituary, Tragic Passing of Beloved Raul Cisneros Cabrera Leaves Community Shattered

Raul Cabrera Obituary, Death – It is with profound sadness that we announce the passing of Raul Cisneros Cabrera, a beloved native of Robstown, TX. At the age of 74, surrounded by his loving family, Raul peacefully departed this world on June 23, 2023, after a valiant battle with illness.

Raul was deeply connected to his cherished hometown of Robstown, TX, where he was born and raised. A proud graduate of Robstown High School, Class of 1968, Raul left an indelible mark as a defensive lineman for the Robstown Cotton Pickers, proudly contributing to their undefeated District 14-AAA championship in the fall of 1966.

Beyond his athletic achievements, Raul was a respected figure within the community. He selflessly served as a member of the Robstown ISD School Board and the Robstown City Council for many years, earning the admiration and gratitude of his fellow residents.

In 2010, Raul concluded his dedicated career at Occidental Chemical Corporation in Ingleside, TX, embarking on a well-deserved retirement.

Raul’s memory will forever be treasured by his beloved wife, Alicia Contreras Cabrera, and his children: Cindy Alvear (Guadalupe), Alma Murdoch (Max), Joanna Delaney, Saundra Stebens (Timothy), Arturo Cabrera (Yesenia), and Robert Joe Cabrera.

His profound love extends to his 17 grandchildren and 10 great-grandchildren, who were a source of immense joy and pride for him. Raul also leaves behind his dear siblings Rebecca Garcia (Luis), Romeo Cabrera (Sulema), Roger Cabrera (Maricela), and Armando Flores Jr., along with numerous nephews, nieces, great-nephews, great-nieces, and countless cousins.

To honor Raul’s remarkable life, an Evening Service will be held on Friday, July 7, 2023, at 7:00 PM, at Ramon Funeral Home Chapel in Robstown, Texas.

A heartfelt celebration of his life will follow on Saturday, July 8, 2023, at 10:00 AM, at The Bridge Church. We warmly invite all who knew and loved Raul to join us in paying tribute to his memory. Interment will take place at Memorial Park Cemetery, where he will find eternal rest.
