Ray Jones Obituary, Death- Ray and his beautiful new bride, Lou, were destined to be together. Ray’s health took a sharp turn for the worst shortly after she passed away a few short weeks ago. He had spent the previous 56 years with her by his side, and he couldn’t face the thought of being apart from her for even a second longer.
On Sunday, May 15, 2022, Ray Jones, age 78, passed away peacefully at home. Ray Jones was born in Fort Worth on August 25th, 1943 to parents named William and Ada Jones. Ray was a devoted family man who cherished his roles as husband, father, and grandfather. In that order, his two greatest passions were his family and cuisine. He looked forward to the times when he could sit down to a hearty supper with his offspring, his grandchildren, and even his granddogs.
Ray possessed a flair for conversation, which was another one of his many admirable qualities. He had a passion for conversation and making new acquaintances. He was always willing to talk to whomever he came across and never encountered someone who was unfamiliar to him. He would frequently visit the Walmart in the area and chat with the employee who worked there. One may say that he serves in an unofficial capacity as the Walmart greeter.
Ray was a really athletic guy. His favorite sports to watch on television were the Rangers, college basketball, and college football. In his younger years, he spent a lot of time playing golf. He played golf for a significant number of hours each day. His devoted wife of 56 years, Lou Jones, as well as his sister, Mildred Long, passed away before he did.
Ray is survived by his son, Duane Ray Jones, and his wife, Kellie; his daughter, Sherry Coker, and her husband, Jeff; his granddaughters, Casey Jones, Jaycee Nichols and her husband, Josh, and Journee Coker; and his granddogs, Yuki and Zelda; in addition to a large number of nieces and nephews. In accordance with the wishes expressed by Ray, those who are planning on attending the funeral service for Ray are kindly asked to dress in comfortable, casual attire.
