Richard Klimek Obituary, Death- Richard J. Klimek passed away on Tuesday, June 27, 2023, at the age of 87, while he was surrounded by his loving family members in both Broadview Heights, Ohio, and Crest Hill, Illinois. He had resided in both of those locations throughout his life.
Born on September 2, 1935, to John and Jenny, he is survived by his wife of 64 years, Rose Marie (née Menzik), whom he treasured, as well as his two children, Richard A. Klimek and Rosanne P. Huebener, who both most of the time gave him with joy. He was given birth on September 2, 1935. His parents were John and Jenny.
Additionally, he is survived by both of his parents. The Klimeks, John and Jenny. Richard A. Klimek. Rosanne P. Huebener. Rich was the uncle of his sister Arlene Dukala’s children Bonnie, Toni, and John, as well as the extremely proud grandfather of Tyler, Dima, Ellie, Callie, and Michael. Rich’s sister Arlene Dukala was his “much older” sister, therefore he considered her to be his “older” sister. Arlene was Rich’s “much older” sister. In addition to this, many knew him as the “dog father” of his late companion Rusty. Rusty was a dog.
In addition to his service in the United States Army and his education at Northwestern University, he was a devoted follower of the Catholic religion and a devoted friend to a very big number of individuals. He was a faithful friend to a huge number of people. After having a long and fruitful career as a United States Federal Mediator, during which time he was presented with a number of honors, he made the decision to retire from the field of labor relations, in which he had worked for a portion of his professional life.
He was awarded with a number of accolades throughout his time in this role. He was a passionate follower of his favorite professional sports teams in Chicago, and he would be pleased to discover that some of his ashes may one day be strewn on Wrigley Field. He was a lover of Chicago sports in general.
A celebration service will be held in his honor at the Church of the Assumption in Broadview Heights, Ohio on the morning of Friday, July 7th, 2023, at 10:00 am. The date and location of the event have not yet been determined. In addition, a webcast of the event will be made available on the website of the church, which may be found at www.coabvm.org. In addition, the family is making plans to celebrate in the Chicago metropolitan area, most likely at Home Run Inn or Portillo’s. These are the establishments that are receiving their preparations.
