Ricky Herken Obituary, Death – It is with deep sadness that we inform you of the passing of Richard Franklin Herken, aged 79, on November 24, 2019, in La Farge, Wisconsin. Richard was born in Easton, Kansas, and his departure leaves a void in the hearts of his loved ones. Richard was preceded in death by his parents, Agnes Martha (Schmidt) and James Thomas Herken, his wife Paula, his grandson Jesse Parker, and his siblings Joseph Francis Herken, Bernadette Agnes Chmidling, Kenneth Leon Herken, Thomas Joseph Herken, Helen Theresa Rowland, and Mary Louis Gwartney.

Left to cherish his memory are his children: Cynthia Campbell (Jeff), Blake Herken (Amy Lund), Jennifer Parker (Brad), Corrine Fisk (Richard), Richelle Zimmerman (Eric), Roger Herken (Ingrid), and Richard Herken, Jr. (Amber). Richard also leaves behind numerous great-grandchildren: Beth Sumwalt (Jason), Kristi Kelbel (Eugene), Mallory Zielke (Brian), Collin Campbell (Danielle), Leah Harry (Christopher), Samantha Bournville (Alex), Olivia Herken, Ryan Herken, Gabrielle Ames (Jon), Jacob Parker, Brittni Fisk, Wyatt Fisk, Madisyn Fisk, Camryn Zimmerman, Landyn Zimmerman, Jaden Fargen, Sarah French, Tysen Herken, Miaya Campbell, Gavin Campbell, Treyton Schmidt, Lexi Kelbel, Lauryn Sumwalt, Brooklyn Sumwalt, Holden Harry, Sawyer Harry, and Eli Harry. His surviving brother is James Thomas Herken, and he is also survived by siblings-in-law Doris Herken, Stella Herken, Peggy Gabrielson, Bradley Gabrielson (Jo), Lee Gabrielson (Greta), Kris Gabrielson, and Daniel Parr. Richard will be missed by numerous nieces and nephews.

In lieu of flowers, the family kindly requests that memorials be made in Rich’s name to the Cystic Fibrosis Foundation, Remembering Jesse Parker, Inc. (a breast cancer research organization), or an animal shelter of your choice. Let us honor Richard’s memory by supporting these meaningful causes.
