Roger Martin Obituary, Death- On the occasion of Roger Martin’s passing away on Thursday, June 26, 2023 at the age of 78, we would like to extend our most sincere sympathies to his family and friends. It’s been 58 years since he won Virginia’s heart and became her most treasured husband. He also became her best friend.

Michael is the doting father of Carrie (Tony) Craig, Kelly (Mike) Albanese, Melissa (Tony) Hozjan, and Michael (Donna) Martin. All four of these women share the same name. Jacob and Marie, Danielle and Brad, Emily, Courtney, Nathan, and Tyler all hold him in the highest regard as their treasured Papa, and they will miss his great sense of humor and funny Papa jokes. The loving brother of Lorainne Conlon, as well as her closest friend. His mother Estelle Martin and his father Albert Martin both passed away before Ernest Tourville did. Ernest Tourville also passed away before his son.

After many years of committed employment at General Motors, Roger decided to take early retirement so that he could follow his hobbies in traveling, golfing, spending time at the cottage, spending winters basking in the sunlight of Florida, and spending time with friends and family who were important to him. He was a good friend of Bill W. who was devoted to and respectful of him. He was a kind person who had a constructive attitude toward life.

Unfortunately, cancer has once again taken a toll on our family, as Roger’s loving daughter Kelly, who died away before him and with whom he is now reunited, succumbed to the sickness. Kelly’s passing brings Roger back together with his daughter, who passed away before him. In place of sending us food or flowers, we would be grateful if you could make a donation to the Rankin Cancer Run in support of Kelly’s Believers. Thank you.

After the cremation was finished, the task of organizing funeral preparations was assigned to the George Darte Funeral Home, which is situated at 585 Carlton Street in St. Catharines. We are having trouble keeping our social links up, so we have decided to conduct a celebration of his life at a later time. We will let you know when the event will take place.
