Scharlene Monte Obituary, Death – Scharlene K. Monte In the Arbors of Minerva on Thursday, June 22, 2023, at the age of 84, a resident of Minerva passed away. She was born in New Philadelphia on November 29th, 1938, to parents named Rolland and Emma Jean (Mathias) Price.

Her primary occupation was that of a housewife, although she also did some work for Walker’s Corner and the Normandy Inn. She received her high school diploma from New Philadelphia in 1957 and currently attends St. Gabriel Catholic Church in addition to being a member of the Catholic Women’s Club.

She is survived by her husband of 65 years, Henry Monte, whom she wed on November 29, 1957, a daughter, Debbie Green of Minerva, a son, David (Sandee) Monte of Minerva, six grandchildren, Tiffany, Danny, Josh, Kristin, Brandy, and Brook, and eight great-grandchildren. She was born on November 29, 1957. Her passing was announced by the passing of her two brothers, Robert and Gary Price, as well as her granddaughter, Kenzi.

A Christian burial service, known as a Mass of the Christian Burial, will be held on Tuesday at 11:00 am at the St. Gabriel Catholic Church in Minerva. The Reverends Victor Cinson and Dale Tornes will preside over the ceremony. The interment will take place at East Lawn Cemetery. At the church, the calling hours will take place one hour before the start of services, from 10 am to 11 am.
