On July 1, 2023, Sears “Dud” Moffett, age 85, left his earthly home to be with the Lord.

He was a resident of Douglas, Georgia. On our behalf and on behalf of the staff at Harrell’s Funeral Home, we like to announce his passing.
On Friday, July 7, 2023, from 2:00 PM until 6:00 PM, the general public is invited to pay their respects at the Harrell’s Funeral Home, which is located at 400 East Cherry Street in Douglas, Georgia 31533. On Friday, July 7, 2023, from 6pm until 7pm, a Wake will be held at Harrell’s Funeral Home, which is located at 400 East Cherry Street in Douglas, Georgia 31533.

A celebration of life will be place at Young’s Chapel Missionary Baptist Church on Saturday, July 8, 2023 at 11:00 AM. The church may be found at 710 Shirley Avenue Douglas, Georgia 31533. On Saturday, July 8, 2023, the funeral and interment will take place at the Douglas City Cemetery, which can be found at 1623 North Gaskin Avenue in Douglas, Georgia 31533. The sermon at the funeral will be given by the Reverend Dr. James W. Anthony Jr.
