Sharon Pope Obituary, Sharon Pope Has Died At 80

Sharon Pope Obituary, Death – Sharon R. Pope, 80, died away peacefully at home on Friday, June 30, 2023 at 8:45 am. Mildred “Millie” Louise Griffin and Faye Wasson brought her up after her birth on July 29, 1942, in Alton, IL. On June 30, 1975, in Las Vegas, Nevada, she wed Frank Pope. On April 7, 2017, he passed away before her.

Sharon took part in Secret Pals and was proud of her tennis skills. She was a sociable person who enjoyed going out with Frank to local establishments like the VFW Post 1308, Masonic Lodge Franklin 25 A.F., and American Legion of Alton to listen to bands and dance on the weekends. Sharon was a devoted family member; she adored her children, grandchildren, and great-grandchildren and her dog, Baby.

Mike Norris, of Godfrey, and Rebecca “Becky” Reeves (Jerry Stargel – significant other), of Villa Rica, Georgia, are Sharon’s children. From Godfrey, Sarah and David Scott III’s grandchildren; from Nevada, Tristan Reeves’; from Georgia, Jacklyn Reeves’; and from Georgia, Judith Reeves’. Hailee Myers, Gavin Myers, David “Bo” Scott IV, and Adaline Scott are the great-grandchildren. Her husband and both of her parents had already passed away.

Elias, Kallal & Schaaf Funeral Home in Godfrey will be open from 2:00 PM to 5:00 PM on Sunday, July 9, 2023 for visitors. On Monday, July 10, 2023, at 10:00 am, funeral services will be performed at the Elias, Kallal & Schaaf Funeral Home in Godfrey. The Rose Lawn Memory Gardens have been selected for interment. Myelodysplastic Syndromes is a worthy cause for a memorial.
