Sheila Williams Obituary, Death –Sheila Janney Williams, a respected owner of the National Steeplechase Association, passed away on June 17, 2023, at the age of 86. Sheila, who campaigned horses both independently and in collaboration with partners such as Northwoods Stable and the late Andre Brewster, held a significant presence in the racing community. Additionally, she held the distinction of being the mother-in-law of Jack Fisher, a Hall of Fame trainer, who is married to her daughter Sheila.

Born on an undisclosed date, Sheila Janney Williams resided in Glyndon, leaving behind a legacy of love and dedication. She was preceded in death by her beloved husband, Rufus M.G. Williams. Survived by her children, Barbara W. Horneffer, Rufus M.G. Williams, Jr., Sheila W. Fisher, and Richard J. Williams, she was also a cherished grandmother to six grandchildren. Sheila was a dear sister to Barbara J. Trimble, Stuart S. Janney, Jr., and the late Sarah J. Rose.
