Tuesday night, the sheriff’s office said that shots were fired at police officers in Double Springs and Winston County.

Caleb Snoddy, the sheriff of Winston County, and Elmo Robinson, the mayor of Double Springs, would both comment on the incident on Wednesday morning, according to the woman who answered the phone at the sheriff’s office.

According to the Cullman Daily, no cops were hurt during the incident.

The suspect opened fire on law enforcement while being pursued by officials close to the Winston County Courthouse in Double Springs, according to the Cullman Daily.

According to the site, the suspect then crashed their car close to the Double Springs Park & Rec Center and is still on the loose.
