Stanley Davis Obituary, Death – Bishop Wright passed away sometime between 11 p.m. and midnight on the same night, accompanied in his final moments by his wife, other family members, and Stanley Davis III’s mother.

Bishop Wright was a candidate for both District 2 of the Boynton Beach City Commission and for Mayor of Boynton Beach, despite the fact that he had never before held a public office. The family has issued a statement which reads as follows: After enduring the devastating effects of a hit-and-run car accident on December 26, 2022, the family of our cherished Bishop Bernard Wright wishes to convey that our incredible loved one passed away last night after putting up an incredibly brave fight against his injuries.

At the time, he was honoring the life of young Stanley Davis III, who had passed just a year before after being unlawfully pursued by a police officer in Boynton Beach. Bishop Wright advocated for Stanley’s family from the very beginning, and he passed away a hero on the evening of June 20. We ask that you keep our family in your prayers at this incredibly trying time. Thank you. We will soon be announcing a date for his celebration of life, and we invite the community to join us in doing so so that we can recognize a life lived full of service and sacrifice as well as a life deserving of recognition.
