Teresa Hackettstown Obituary, Death – At the Ridgewood Veterans Wing on Monday, June 5, 2023, Teresa Lillian Murray, who was the wife of the late Arthur (Bud) Murray, passed away. Her death occurred earlier that day. Teresa Cripps, the daughter of Daniel and Victoria (Legacy) Cripps, was born in Bathurst on August 11, 1935.

Her parents’ names were Daniel and Victoria. Victoria Legacy, Teresa’s grandmother, inspired the naming of her granddaughter. There are a number of people who have continued her genealogy, including her sister Mary McBreen, who currently resides in Bournemouth, England, in addition to a number of nieces and nephews. Her Murray children, her Murray children who married Murray children, and her Murray children who married Murray children all share the same surname. Her sisters Margaret Rioux (Paul) and Eleanor Cripps, along with her brothers and sisters-in-law Patrick (Shelva), Thomas (Betty), John (Joan), and Bill (Cripps), all went away before she did, as did her husband and son. Also predeceasing her were her brothers and sisters-in-law. Her brothers and sisters-in-law had also predeceased her at the time of her passing.

We are indebted to the employees at Ridgewood for the kindness and concern that they displayed toward Teresa while she was a guest there. In response to Teresa’s request, there will be a considerable cut in the number of people who come to visit. A funeral Mass will be celebrated for her at the Our Lady of Perpetual Help Parish in Rothesay on the 9th of June, 2023 at ten in the morning. The date and time are both subject to change. St. Joseph’s Cemetery is going to be the location of the funeral and burial services for the deceased.

In lieu of traditional floral arrangements, the family has asked that memorial contributions be given to the organization of the donor’s choosing in place of traditional floral arrangements.
