At the age of 80, our much loved wife, mother, grandmother, great grandmother, daughter, sister, aunt, niece, and friend passed away suddenly and peacefully on May 17, 2023. She was our mother, grandmother, and great grandma. Tina was born in Winkler, Manitoba, on January 5th, and her birthday is the 5th of January. She was the first child to be born to Henry and Anna Unrau, making her Abe Unrau’s younger sister and the first kid overall. Following the move to St. Catherines, Ontario, the family grew to include not just Agnes but also a younger sister and a good friend of the family’s. Following a period of time spent in Ontario, the family undertook the journey across Canada and eventually built their home in the city of Abbotsford, which is located in the province of British Columbia.

After falling in love, they did not wait long to get married, doing so on March 19, 1965. On Bradner Road, the young couple built a dairy farm with the assistance of Peter’s older brother George and Peter’s sister-in-law June. Within a span of just seven years, the family grew to include Janice, who found love and married Doug; Angie, who found love and married Kyle; Chris, who found love and married Darlene; and Allison, who found love and married Mike. After settling on the idea of starting their own farm, which they ultimately decided to call Whitegrove Farm, in 1975, they made the choice to relocate to Riverside Road in Matsqui Prairie. Here, she made incredible friendships that were destined to last a lifetime, and she treasured every one of them.

Tina was a brave woman who adored the time she got to spend in other countries. During each of her many trips to England, she had a lovely time seeing her family and old friends there. She spent a lot of time in England. She journeyed not just throughout the all of Canada but also across the entirety of the rest of the planet.
We went to Alaska, France, Fiji, Australia, and New Zealand; we also traveled via the Caribbean Islands and the Panama Canal; and we sailed through the Panama Canal. Her two most memorable travel experiences were in South Africa and on a river trip that began in Budapest and ended in Amsterdam. Despite this, she eagerly anticipated her yearly excursion to the coast of British Columbia, where she would catch up with her cousins and other long-lost friends.
She was a fantastic member of each and every community in which she was fortunate enough to have the opportunity to be a part. She relished every moment of her life and made the most of every opportunity; her thoughtfulness, compassion, and love will be dearly missed. She lived life to the fullest and made the most of every moment.
